The Village of Windham administration has passed local legislation to allow taxpayers to delay their estimated payments for tax year 2020. You may still receive billing statement from RITA, however your obligation to pay estimated payments has been extended to the next filing deadline, April 15, 2021. If you tax obligation has NOT been paid by April 15th, 2021 then you will be subject to penalties and interest as per our local tax ordinance. **Laymen's terms**: You will still receive the statements for the estimated tax, but you do not have to pay them if YOU choose. You will NOT be subject to penalties or interest if your taxes are paid by April 15, 2021. All taxes MUST be paid by the April 15th due date.
